The international news television is the Arabic sibling of Qatar based Al Jazeera English & indigenous Al Jazeera that broadcasts in Arabic. Balkans was launched in November 2011 in the station at Sarajevo. The Qatar Media Corporation purchased the privately regulated NTV 99 in a USD 1.56 million and rebranded the TV as Balknans (AJB).
