3/24 is a Catalonia (Spain) based channel owned by Televisió de Catalunya. Broadcasting in Catalan the 3/24 news is the domain of multiplexing brand of DVB-T in the ownership of TVC. The broadcasts at present are in digital terrestrial (DVB-T) and cable (DVB-C) modes. However the analogue transmission was closed down in 2010. The Catalan public television established in 2003 was launched on September 11, 2003 to meet the demands of Catalonian audiences. The first 24 hour news service of Catalonia was rebranded as a regular full time news as well as information broadcaster with introducing itemization of science, culture, history, entertainment blocks and society.
The programming is also shared by the 3/24s sibling TV3. The popular programs borrowed by TV3 include Telenotícies, Els Matins and La Nit al Dia.
