The thing that gives it the lead form other competitors in the Taiwanese news market is that it focuses to broadcast multilingual content. Apart from Taiwanese and Mandarin the channel also broadcasts the local news in English which takes it ahead in terms of diverse approach. The English news program has won the channel some great distinction including a Foundation of Excellent Journalism Award for Best Program in 2009 and Jinny chang’s nomination in Best Presenter Category in 2006. The Interior ministry listed the program in one of Taiwan’s top 26 TV shown in 2006.
